Sage Green recently completed work as the project manager for the construction of a 37,000 square foot new construction office/warehouse building in Alameda for Zephyr Corporation, a manufacturer of high-design kitchen range hoods. Sage Green is working on the final design and entitlement phase of a 40,000 square foot LEED-CS rehab of an existing office building in Berkeley.
Sage Green is serving as the Owner’s Rep and LEED Coordinator for Standard Process, a whole food vitamin and supplement company. Standard Process has purchased a 22,000 square foot cold-shell office/industrial building in Alameda, CA for their new headquarters and is undertaking a LEED-CI registered tenant improvement build-out.
Sage Green has completed a comprehensive Green Tenant Guide for Landlords and Tenants and has assisted with LEED-documentation for various LEED-NC and LEED-CS projects.
Sage Green is providing RFP assistance to a construction company seeking to win a contract for LEED-CI projects in San Francisco.
Sage Green is providing GreenPoint Rating services for two multifamily housing projects in the Bay Area.

Project Work Prior to Sage Green
2020 Milvia Street Berkeley
Laura serves as the Project Manager for a major rehab of this 41,000 SF LEED-registered green office building. She assembled the team, compiled budgets, directed the entitlement process and served as the Owner’s rep for the design phase. The project is currently in the plan-check process.
San Pablo Avenue
Laura serves as the Project Manager for this new construction LEED-registered (Gold target), green 39-unit residential condominium project. She assembled the team, prepared budgets and co-directed the design phase and entitlement process along with the Project Principal. After extensive community outreach, the project was approved in 7 months in Berkeley and received broad support from the community as well as the DRC, ZAB and the City Council. The project is now entitled and in the design phase.
2001 Broadway, Oakland
Laura served as the Owner’s representative, completing four leases to bring the building from 70% to 97% occupancy. She managed TI construction teams for the four projects. She oversaw various capital improvement projects as well as two building refinancings. She was responsible for the budget and financial forecasts.
University Circle, E. Palo Alto
Laura worked with senior partners on the negotiation of Letters of Intent for two years, resulting in fifteen leases totaling 160,000 SF. She was the Project Manager for six tenant improvement projects, totaling 60,000 RSF. Tenants included Wachovia Securities, Greater Bay Bancorp and various medical office and retail tenants. She played a key role during the sale process, responsible for extensive financial modeling and legal document review. The campus sold in 2005 for a then record-setting price of $665/SF;
Dolby Labs, San Francisco
Laura served as the lead on this real estate consulting project. She interviewed employees and senior management, analyzed company and market data, wrote a 50-page report and presented to senior management.
SRM Associates Sustainability Initiative
Laura introduced SRM Associates to the LEED rating system and green building concepts when starting with the company in 2003. She organized SRM’s Green Forum in 2005, which served as SRM’s public pledge to “go green.” She had SRM certified as a “Certified Green Business,” and initiated the greening of the company’s janitorial services and its carbon off-setting program. SRM has completed one LEED-NC Gold project and is currently working on five other LEED-certified projects.
